receiving reported error

Task 'mail.comcast.net-receiving 'reported error 0x80040600 'unknown error
0x80040600 started this after I downloaded the lasted updates.
 
Outlook 2003. It was working fine until I downloaded the recent updates. Ever
since then, thies error message keep poping up.

On resolution step 1. It came back "none found". Step 1b "other control
panels" there is no mail..however..there is install shield...when I click
it...it's blank. You can see the boxes but no words. Maybe it didn't finish
downloading...according to updates...it was finished..could that be the
problem?

I get the same error as Y2K but my mail is sent. This also happened after
the last set up updates.
