receiving mdb files

I have Outlook 2000. I also have someone that needs to regularly send me
Access mdb files, but Outlook 2000 is blocking them; how do I get Outlook
2000 to NOT DO THAT? : }

Tell your sender to rename the file to <filename>.mdx (or whatever
extension you like that is not considered a hazardous filetype) and
e-mail that to you. Then rename it back to the .mdb extension when you
save the attachment.

Microsoft Outlook includes a feature that blocks attachments that are considered unsafe. This security feature provides an additional level of protection against malicious e-mail
messages. By default, this feature has been implemented in each version of Outlook since Microsoft Outlook 2000 Service Release 1 (SR1).

If you consistently receive the same type of files from one individual, the easiest way and safest to overcome your problem is to have the sender rename the extension of the file they are
sending from filename.mdb to filename.txt. Once you save the file to your hard drive, you can them rename the file to filename.mdb. If you would like change the way in which Outlook
blocks attachments, please refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article EN-US;829982.
