receiving duplicate email messages

I recently started receiving duplicate messages. In other words, from
some--not all- senders, I will receive two identical email messages. All of
my account settings appear to be correct. Anybody else have this problem--if
so, how did you stop it?

Hi Tracy,
have you created some rules?
If so please check them, you have to insert "stop processing other rules"
after EVERY rule!

This could be a problem on the sender's end - outgoing message scanning by
anti-virus programs can lead to duplicate messages being sent. You might
check with the senders from whom you receive duplicates to see if they have
antivirus scanning of their outgoing messages.
