Received Date information missing

I recently posted a request for determining why my "Date
Received" field was blank and after several suggestions,
none worked.

Then, I discovered that the problem resides with the
operating system display of the date field. I had
recently read a "did ya know" article that you can change
the way your date is displayed in the bottom bar. For
example, the normal way is probably 8:43 PM but you can
change this to always display a name following the time;
e.g. 8:43 PM LastName. When you do add this information
to the date field, the problem occurs in Outlook. When
you remove this addon name, the problem disappears and the
dates are again displayed. This same situation DOES NOT
occur in Outlook Express.

You can test this by opening Regional and Language Options
from the Control Panel, select "customize", then
select "time" and finally, in the time format, append your
last name following the h:mm:ss tt that is displayed on
mine in a non modified fashion. It looks neat and
harmless. And perhaps it is harmless but I never would
have suspected this type byproduct of my action.

Thank you for sharing this information with ALL.
