I'm trying to find out if there is a way that I can do only a "Receive"
rather than a "Send & Receive" in Outlook 2002. I have found menu items for
"Send All", "Send/Receive All" and "Send/Receive" for an indvidual email
account.

Outlook Express has menu items for "Send/Receive All", "Send All", and
"Receive All". I would like to be able to do the same thing in Outlook
2002.

I've tried writing a macro for it but so far all I've been able to do is
figure out how to send from VBA.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Brant

Have you tried setting up a new Send/Receive Group for receiving only?

Thanks for the reply, Jocely.

Yes, that sort of accomplishes it. After reading my original post, it
wasn't completly clear as to what I wanted to do.

I would like to be able to perform a "receive" on an account from within a
VBA macro. Setting up a new send and receive group does create a new menu
item but it still doesn't answer how to perform a receive programatically.

Thanks

Brant

Ahh, I see...unfortunately I'm not a programmer, so maybe someone else can
help you out with that part.
