Hi Debbie,
You are absolutely right in all your assumptions. If I
can't cancel, then I would like to change the email
account that keeps trying to send the receipt. I can only
send emails on one account (caribsurf.com), but I can
receive to any number of accounts (the one in question is
tiscali.co.uk). So, emails received on the latter account
can only be replied to using the caribsurf account.
Makes sense? Hope so,
Regards
JoeC

I think you are referring to the Read Receipt that is
sent because the sender requested notification when you
read the email.
If this is what you are asking about, you can control
read receipts depending upon what version of Outlook you
have. Outlook 2003 and I'm pretty sure 2002 do not send
read receipts without asking you.
If you click No, the read receipt is not sent. If you
click Yes, it is sent and it is too late - they know you
read the email and will certainly ask you questions about
it.
You might try the knowledge base at
www.support.microsoft.com. Look for your specific
version of Outlook and type in Read Receipt for your
search text. It will come back with all sorts of
information.
