Hi,

I just installed XP home on my laptop and still use MS
outlook 2000. Not sure it's related but a problem started
appearing - whenever I send out a word doc. as
attachement, receipients can't open them and see it as:
sth.doc.dat file instead of sth.doc.

I already set "Plain Text" in the mail delivery options.
Help!

I had met this problem in the past. My Excel file as attachment was been
changed to a notice text file, in which told me that the file I had added
in mail should include virus in it. in fact, it is just a normal excel
sheet for data. :)
I think there are sth wrong with the mailserver, maybe it's the firewall
trouble.I cann't affirm it.:)

.
We had the same problem. We had to choose html in the
mail delivery options and then they were received.
Sometimes html does not appear to be a choice. If that is
the case, choose whatever the other choice is and then go
back and look again and it will be a choice.
