recalling a message

Here's the scenerio:

I sent an e-mail, recalled it, got an e-mail saying it was successfully
recalled, the person never read the first e-mail before I recalled it-

Can they still see the original e-mail?
 
I was usin my outlook at work and sent it to a person at work. I believe we
use EXCHANGE.

Haven't tested it for a while now but I believe they should now only have a
revoke message left in their inbox (especially if they read that items
first).
