Hi,

When i try to recall a message, it does not trigger automatically, it will
reside in the Inbox until the recipient double click on the recall message,
then only it will remove the original message. Anyone can advise why it
behave like this?

Thank you.
Heah

that's how recall works for the most part - it really shouldn't be relied
on.

Hi,
Probably i didn't explain clearly in my previous email.

Isn't it will automatically trigger by itself once it's received by the
recipient? It worked that way previouly, and i dont know why recently it
will only work when the recipient double click on the recall message. The
sender (who wanted to recall) couldn't get the return message whether
sucessfully recall or not on the spot, but have to wait till the recipient
act on it.

Please advise.

Thanks & regards,
Heah

if the mailbox is open, outlook usually will automatically process the
message within a few minutes, assuming the first message wasn't read
already. But it's buggy and doesn't work correctly very often.

Was the recall received as a proper recall, not as a plain text message?

It's a proper recall command, somehow it just doesn't work correctly, which
it was ok before that. That's why my boss is asking me to find out the
problem. I have done many testing, and found out that it will only work if
the recipient open the recall mesage manually, otherwise the recall msg just
sit there doing nothing.

rgds.
