Reboots after shutdown

I have been to that suggested website and still I am
having problems trying to solve this problem. I'm sure
I'm not the only one, Couldn't there be a patch written to
re-write the shutdown to actually shutdown. Or could
someone please tell me how I could manually go into the
registry or something to re-write it myself?

It is rebooting because you are having a fatal error during the shutdown
process. It is typically a hardware driver problem.
Right click my computer> go to the advanced tab> go to startup and recovery
and hit the settings button and uncheck the automatically restart on system
failure.
When you shutdown you will now get the blue screen of death but it may give
you an indication as to the driver problem.
Typically it has been caused by cd burner software, bad video or sound
drivers. Make sure you have the latest drivers and check that you have no
yellow explantion marks in the device manager list.

I unfortunately get no blue screen of death. And also no
yellow explanation marks in the the device manager.

Hi,

Disable everything that reads 'Wake up' in the BIOS settings. Also, I have
seen this behavior if you have a CD/DVD in the drive during a shutdown.
