rebooting from CD drive

How can I enable rebooting from CD drive. I already changed in BIOS boot
sequence to CD,A, C. However it appears that the system does not seek CD
drive during rebooting.

According to Symantec it is. It is the CD that came with Ghost 9. They
suggested to try with theeir CD if it is possible to reboot from the CD
Drive. It appears that my computer does not attempt to go to CD drive while
rebooting.
 
i just put in my ghost 9 disc and it's not booting either...i put in a win
98 cd and it booted fine...just make sure there's nothing extra you dont
have to do before getting it to boot... for example a win 98 boot disc or
something dumb like that
 
One can think how usefull the backup will be if you can't boot from the
Symantec supplied boot disk. Did anybody ever boot from the CD that cames
with Ghost 9? Does it make sense to create backup CDs in my situation?

Do you see press a key to boot from CD? If you have a splash screen when
booting up, press ESC and look for the press a key to boot from CD message.

However, it does show message: 'Boot from CDROM - failure" and boots up from
the C drive.

is your ghost 9 CD genuine?????
i at one stage had a downloaded version of ghost 9 claiming to be an iso
of the program, but was not bootable, therefore making it useless (have
genuine now)
