A few days ago I downloaded and installed Adobe Reader 6. I had been using
Acrobat Reader 5.01 to read PDF files, and understood that Adobe Reader 6
now took the place of Acrobat Reader the this purpose, as well as reading
e-books. When I encountered a PDF file on the internet the Acrobat Reader
would popup in Internet Explorer, and I could read the document on-line, or
even copy it to my machine.
Now I get a blank page instead, and there is no way of reading the document.
Reader dose not pop-up in IE as before. Since I had now the new version 6, I
removed version 5.01. It seems this also removed my ability to view PDF
files within IE. However, the proper plug-in for internet viewing (IA32.api
: in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins) in the Adobe
folder.
Is there any way I might be able to now make this work within Internet
Explorer?
