Reading old CDs

I upgraded from ME to XP and most CDs work ok. A few recorded on an even
earlier version (maybe 98) that were able to be read on ME are not recognized
on XP. They are read as 0 space available and 0 space used. Any help?
 
windows 98 does not have CD burning software thus you need a 3rd party
software to burn a CD in windows 98.

It means they were probably made using a packet writing program such as
the old DirectCD (Roxio) or InCD. You need to have the same program
installed on the target computer or a UDF Reader. See this Google
