Reading foreign characters with streamreader

I have a file I read with streamreader

If I put accented characters in the file i.e. &Annulerèà
It ignores the foreign characters.

Is there a way of reading these?

Its ok I fixed it, saved it as unicode text.

Great your found your answer.

I have added this reply to prevent that everybody is everytime opening it
again thinking there was no answer.

You are not able to do that, in another way than changing your subject in
"fixed"
