readability tool not reading the whole document

Does anyone know how to fix this one?

When I do a 'tools' 'spelling & grammer' for readability stats, it seems to only be checking a small part of the document.

eg 20 words will show as the word count, when there's about 1500 words in the whole document.

I've tried highlighting the whole document and then trying it again, copying the text to a new document but just can't get it to do it on the whole document.
 
Hi Tanya,

Click on Tools, Options, Spelling & Grammar Tab, and click
on the Check Document button, answer ok when prompted.
This will reset Spelling & Grammar for this document.
