Read Receipt

I have tried the read receipt option with Windows Mail and tested it using
one of my other e-mail addresses and it just does not work. Are other people
having the same problem or does it just not work? Thanks!

I request Receipts for all emails. Some receipts I get, some not ... Depends
on the recipients Option Settings.

Check Tools/Options/Receipts and ensure Request a read receipt is ticked.
Also If you send email to yourself, ensure Never send a read receipt is not
checked. I have checked Notify me then I get the option of receipting or
not.

Hope this helps

foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Hi, I appreciate your help, but I've already tried this and am not receiving
the read receipts. Thanks!!

Have the people you are sending read receipt requests to enabled
responding to such requests? If not, the requests will be ignored.

Most email clients that recognize the Read Receipt Request have an option to
block them. Many other email clients don't even recognize the request.

Most recipients ignore Read Receipt requests or have it
totally disabled (as I do). I consider it nobody's business to know
just when I read their precious email. ;-)

I've tested it with my own additional e-mail address and there are no
restrictions and it doesn't work. Thanks for responding.
