Read receipt. Can I delay the answer til the msg be read?

Hi.

I do not know if is possible to delay the answer when the "Read receipt" is
requested, until the message has been read.

Could you, please, confirm that, and if so, tell me how?

If Outlook is set to send them, they will be sent as soon as the message is
opened. You could set it to prompt to send them, then when the prompt comes
up, move the window aside, read the message, then go back to the prompt
window and click OK. But how weird would that be?

If you employ the Reading Pane and set that pane's properties to not mark a
message as read, then the receipt shouldn't get sent until you actually
double-click the message to open it or mark it read.
