read only mode

I want to put my access database on a shared drive in the office but need it
to be on read only mode so that no one can play with th einformation is this
possible and if yes how?

You reply will be highly appreciated.

If you want *everyone* to be read only then just set the Read Only attribute
on the file or on the folder. If you want a mixed bag then you cannot do
that with network permissions. You would have to set up the User Level
Security that is part of Access (advanced topic).
 
Where can I find this read only attribute , I want it for all users.

Right click on the file folder and click on properties. You should be able to
set read-only there. Also go into the folder and right click.
