I use WIN XP Pro, and IE6, also OE6. When I want to select a newsgroup, I
click Subscribe Newsgroups and a whole lot
of names of newgroups appear in a column. But *only* the first twenty or so
letters of them eg (to pick one at random) "Microsoft.public.ch.ou...."
How do I find out what the *full* name of the newsgroup is? At the moment
the only method is to subscribe to
it and pull it into my area, then delete it if it turns out to be one I
don't want. This is cumbersome.
Can I avoid it?

TIA

In Outlook Express you will see above the list of newgroups the words
newsgroups and descriptions. In between those 2 words is a small divider
line. Just put your mouse on that line and drag it to the right.

Maybe you should look into a new newsreader. I can see the entire
names of all 106,000+ newsgroups in my reader. Your number may vary
depending on your news service.

Or double click it, and it'll jump out to leave room for the longest entry
in the loaded list to be read.
