Re setting (no proofing)?

Hello
I'm writing a program, working from a template that a primary school teacher
has given me, unfortunately the spell check only works on one section of the
template.

I get this message when trying to check the rest of the doc;
'To find (no proofing) text, click edit/replace, click more, click format,
click language and choose no proofing'

I can do all of this but at the last step there is not option that allows me
to choose for no proofing

Any suggestions?

In recent versions the "No proofing" option is labeled "Do not check
spelling or grammar."
