If I uninstall a network connection through Device Manager and reboot,
Windows reinstalls the hardware but in Network Connections, "Local Area
Connection" has a 1,2 or 3 etc after it. Somewhere (I've forgotten) there is
a facility to delete these unused connections. I would appreciate information
as to how to access this facility

Thank you,
Sneff

Hi
Having a Higher number is Not a functional problem, there is a way to delete the old
entries and rest to One, but it is pain stacking (and some what dangerous process) too
cumbersome to start explaining it in such a Medium (News Group).
