re; Removing "personal account" icon at boot up.TIA

This did not appear before & just recently it
comes on screen while booting. I just want a
straight-thro' bootup. All help appreciated.

Go here and download TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Install it, run it, and go to Logon -> Autologon and check the box...
