I have a laptop that I want to install winxp from a xp cd
i bought from m-soft. I first used it on my old pc but no
longer use. How can I get xp in install again on my laptop
without it kicking me out, saying i have used it already
on my old pc

thank you

No problem, Ken. If it has been more than 120 days since you installed XP it
will activate normally when you install it on your laptop. If less you will
have to make a free, painless phone call. Follow the prompts when you
install XP.

Hi Ken,
Windows is set up to install on an individual PC. If you
have gotten rid of the old PC and plan on using this same
installation disc for a new one, call the Microsoft
support number that is listed in the manual and you can
get this information reset.

Greetings --

Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are not transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install
it onto the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:
