Re-installing lost my sound device??

HI all,

I recently had to completely uninstall/reinstall my Windows XP Pro. However
since doing so I have completely lost all sound on my computer and on
checking Hardware Devices etc it says there "are no audio devices"
installed - but I have onboard sound!

My half brother built my computer for me and it was all working perfectly
well before the re-installation. I have searched numerous help sites, MS
help centres etc and my half brother can't fathom it out either!

Has anyone else had this problem or have any advice on how to get my sound
back please?

You can obtain the correct drivers for your onboard audio by
visiting the support web site of the manufacturer of the motherboard.
