and will be checking it out before I do anything about a viru

I recently received the "infamous" email about the "jdbgm virus tha
turns out to be a hoax. Before I found out, I followed all th step
and deleted "jdbe.exe". Is it a necessary file and how do I g abou
re installing if it is? I tried the "restore to an earlier dat an
that didn't work. Any help? Thanks
Fortunately, as hoaxes go, the effect of this one is very mild
Yes, it was a Windows file and no, it shouldn't have bee
deleted. But the file is the Java debug manager, needed only b
Java programmers. Since you're obviously not a Java programme
(if you were, you would have known not to delete it), there's n
real harm been done. You don't need the file, and although it'
easy enough to get back, you don't need to bother
Next time, don't be ready to believe E-mail messages abou
viruses, even if sent by your closest friends. Most of them ar
hoaxes, spread by unwitting dupes of the hoaxsters
