Hi,
I was wondering, I have the OEM version of Windows XP
Home and I just got a new harddrive. I've re-installed XP
and the registration says i've already used the
registration number. Which is true becasue i used it on
my other Harddrive. But I don't require the old Harddrive
anymore and will be reformatting it once I'm sure all the
important data has been sucesfully transfered. So will I
be able to use my windows on my new harddrive at all,
because I don't require my old one.
Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated,
Jason R.

The sad tale here is that NO NO and NO.

OEM versions of XP do not permit the transfer of Hard Drive with XP to a new
System Environment, the transfer to a new Hard Drive in the same environment
or any other significant change.

You can feel comfortable going out and buying an Upgrade Version: based upon
the fact that you do have an OEM version whcih you will no longer use.
