Re-Install Windows question...?

Kenneth

Howdy,

Over the next few days I will be preparing myself
physically, emotionally, and spiritually for the need to
install Win2000 on one of my systems...

Of course, I want to minimize the hassle, but just realized
something:

My Favorites are simply entries in a folder. As a result, it
would seem that I could just copy that folder to a safe
place on another system, do the re-install, and move the
Favorites folder back to its original location.

This raises a few questions:

First, am I correct about what I have just described, that
is, will it work?

And beyond that, are there other (perhaps similar) things
that I can do to make the process easier?

Very sincere thanks,

Ooops,

The opening paragraph should have been:

Over the next few days I will be preparing myself

RE-install Win2000 on one of my systems...

Thanks,

yes you can either move my documents to another source or just back it
up to a device you trust ( zip drive, CDR , other partion of the
HD..etc) and then just install 2000..then just move it into the new MY
document ( I am sure you know by now that the location has moved in win
2000 from the windows dir to c:\ doucments and setting under your
name...single user) but thats not really inportant if you are a single
user..if you plan to have more than one login screen name then you
would have to move it to c:\ documents and setting: folder then UR
screen name {folder} under MY DOCUMENTS
