I am trying to do a clean install of XP Home on a Dell
8250 Dimension computer from a CD. I re-formatted the "C"
drive but left programs on two other partitions. During
the installation, at the EULA, the program won't let
me "accept" the terms. I press "F8" and nothing
happens. "ESC" and scrolling works great. Why and what
can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi Dave,
Since your doing a 'clean' install of Windows XP .. I
recommend 'zero filling' your hard drive. Then use
the 'Deploy.cab' found on your Windows XP CD. It will be
in: CD-ROM:\Support\Tools\Deploy.cab Two popular hard
disk manufacturers are Western Digital www.wdc.com and
Maxtor www.maxtor.com .. They will have the appropriate
hard disk 'utilities' you'll need. Also see
http://microsoft.com/whdc/hwdev/tech/storage/ntfs-
preinstall.mspx#ntfs2 to get maximum performance from
your new installation .. Good Luck!
