Hello,

I am having a problem re-installing win xp. When i try to restart and boot
from CD, it will not read it. It skips it. And goes straight to windows which
is on the comp.I have already assigned for it to be read first. Also, I
cannot delete or add any programs into the comp, always says I have no
access. I have no idea what to do anymore, only to burn it. Getting stressed
!!!! Please help

Can you read the CD in windows?

Can you slipstream/integrate SP2 into the CD and burn a new one - because
the old one may be damaged.

You say you have it "set to read first" - I guess that means you went into
the system BIOS and changed the boot order to check the CD drive first?

Do you only have one CD drive?

So, you are watching when you boot - it will come up with a message "Press
any key to boot from CD" - if you don't - it continues on.
