Hi There

The computer we have was bought with XP home edition on it, it did not come with any disks (bf computer) For some reason Nortons stopped working, had about 300+ virius on it. Now the computer does crazy things, 1. I get a wondows installer error something about verifying a path. 2. it freezes all the time. 3. I removed Norton, and have tried to install another anti-virius, some days it works other days it doesn't

Is there a way to reformat XP without having a disk? It is an IBM computer. If I delete the accounts on it will taht help?

You can reformat your drive, but then you'll have no Windows operating system.
Reformatting wipes all files clean from a hard drive. So if you do not a Windows XP
installation CD, you'll have to contact IBM support and request one before you do anything.

Sammie;
Contact the manufacturer and/or check the manual for proper
reinstallation procedures.

If you bought the computer second hand, you may not have a valid
license to use Windows XP if you do not have a CD.
