I am using Outlook Express on my X.P.pro Windows for My E mail .
Why does any outgoing Mail get Stuck in the Outgoing box,(not entering Sent
items)
and yet I know that the mail does get sent? My Pop Up window also tells me
that my server "cannot be found"
Any advice Please.

Hugh,

Do you have a direct connection to the internet or do you have a Linksys or
other router sitting between your machine and your internet connection.
I've had this same problem with a dying router as well as with some older
anti-virus programs monitoring outgoing mail. Increasing the time out
threshold for the mail server seems to reduce the frequency with which this
problem occurs but does not solve it entirely. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.I use a direct dial up isp,but I shall try to increase
the time allowed.
