Hi Cassandra,
Try this...
Start in Safe Mode with a Command prompt
"type" FDISK /MBR <enter>
This will define your Master Boot Record
Let me know if this clears it up.
Afterward do this...
Start in Safe Mode with a command prompt
"type" SFC /SCANNOW <enter>
When complete run a defrag
Afterward do this
"type" CHKDSK /F <enter>
answer "Y" for yes.
Restart (this will take up to 30 minutes)
After completion see if all runs better.
If you are not running good AVP get one
But now you need to run an online to make sure you're clean.
Go here...
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/
Look under Virus definitions (third one)
click on "Free online security scan"
choose the virus scan
let it run all the way through
Write down or print any virus information it finds
Go to google and type the virus name or file names it finds.
Find the Symantec fix page and click on it and print it
Do everything it says in the exact order it says to complete.
Here is a page with fixtools
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html
Keep that handy
Please let me know if all is well.

When I reboot my Windows 2000 Web Server, it starts to
boot then hangs up at a blinking cursor. If I turn it off
and then back on, it boots just fine. It will never re-
boot properly the 1st time, so it has become a two step
process, and I cannot set up the server for an automatic
re-boot schedule.
