RDP: remove connection bar

Hi,

when I uncheck the "Display Connection Bar in Full Mode.." it is still
visible.
this happens to only in the XPe environmet. in my XPPro in works fine...

is there a way to contorl it by registry/policy?

Hi,
This seems be a problem of RDP 5.2 service upgrade. With RDP 5.1 it works
fine, also under XP-Pro.

The same behavior occur also under XP-Pro, if you install RDP there 5.2
update.

Till know i found no solution for this problem.

thanks for the info- that sure saved me some headaqes..
is it possible for me to add the 5.1 version to my build after I've updated
my DB to 5.2?
there is only one listed as "Terminal Server Client - Hotfix Q828665".

Hi,
Maybe it is possible to install the RDP 5.1 Client which u find on an XP-Pro
SP1 CD under "Perform additional tasks" -> Setup Remote Desktop Connection.

If not tried it, but maybe it works.

Yaron,

You can delete that Hotfix component (or the entire package) from DB by using XPe CDM (Component Database Manager).
Then you would need to remove the component node from your configuration and add RDP component (now 5.1) again.
