In my new Laptop (windows XP Pro Sp2) Startup items I have seen a new item
'RDP clip monitor' (rdpclip). Is it a spareware? Is it safe to remove?

Thanks for any replies.

Oh, and it's not recommended to remove, and it is considered safe.

In earlier XPs it was not there. Why only this time?

As far as I know, it has been a part of Microsoft's Remote Desktop
sotware for the past few years. It allows you to copy and paste
between client and remote computers. Maybe if you just installed a
new version of RDP, this service may now be enabled when it was
previousely disabled. Honestly, I'm not an expert in this area, but
if you just google search this topic, there are a lot of explanations
and descriptions that you might want to look at.
