My computer tries to access Floppy A:\ on its own. Just does it randomly.
I have searched the registry for A:\ and fund two instances. Deleted those,
but floppy drive is still being accessed. Any help w/b appreciated.

You probably have the installed anti virus program set to check that location. Look for that option and disable it.

Also, check the recent documents for references to files that were on a
floppy.

Any program related to drives. Indexing programs, background process that try to
access that drive.

Thanks for your reply. Checked recent documents folder which had references
to files that were on a floppy. Deleted those and my problem is gone.
Thanks again.
