My computer keeps crashing and restarting and I keep geting the windows has
recovered from a serious error message and says its a driver conflict yet I
checked and thier is no conflict. Also seems to have after I used my ATI TV
card but Ichecked it and it isnt having a conflict. and tis only been doing
this since I reinstalled windows... :(

Try using msconfig to isolate the drivers. It could be a driver conflict and not a device conflict. To get to it click on start>Run and type msconfig and put windows into a diagnostic startup. As you test your machine add one set of drivers at a time(ie start adding drivers from system.ini and then Win.ini). This should help find the driver you are having an issue with.

Ugg just happened again here is the error message if anyone cna decypher it
and john I will try what you said.
One thing I jsut tried was removing the new ATI drivers I installed and
going back to the old ones

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced.
Click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom)
section.
In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
Automatically restart to clear it.
Click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.

That should put an end to the restarts. However you may receive "Blue
Screen Of Death" STOP error messages instead. In that event the
contents of the STOP message will be a direct clue as to the
underlying cause of the error. Post the information from the STOP
message, including all of the parameters, back here if you need
further advice or assistance with that.

Good luck

Hi Ron,

I have a similar problem and tried a similar approach. I don't have
the data to post because I got a blue screen of death and couldn't do
anything but reboot. ALl that the blue screen really said was that
there was a page fault in non-paged area, I think. I have an OEM
version of Windows, and called the store I bought it at, and they said
that when yo install XP, the next thing you should do is install drivers
for every single thing, including the motherboard, not depend upon the
Microsoft-provided drivers. SInce XP had earlier said that the
problem was likely my mouse driver, we downloaded the
Microsoft-suggested Samsung driver. Today we went to the actual mouse
manufacturer's web site, and they said we should use the Microsoft
driver that comes with XP, not something else. Since the blue screen
can't be captured to post here, what can we do next? I hate the thought
of having all of having to have the disk cleaned and XP reinstalled. Do
I really need to come up with drivers for everything first, including
the motherboard, and do that before I install anything after XP? Thanks.

Sorry to be so long in responding to this but I have been away since
Sunday at a conference.

STOP 0x50 errors (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) can have a variety of
cuases. As with any error message it is critically important to
make careful note of the complete content of the error message
including all of the parameters and any file names that may be
included.

MVP Jim Eshelman has some information about this error and links to
other support articles regarding it on his STOP errors web page at
http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm - just click on the "50: Page
Fault...." link in the left side column.

Good luck
