my computer I was having the same problem while playing online "fast" games. It kept getting worse and worse until it did it all the time...Then I reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled windows, and replaced my video card. Well when I play the same games, I encounter the same problem still. My graphics cards supports HydraVision (2 monitor/extended desktop) I wondered about that, but it is brand new card so i reeally shouldn't. The error reports say its caused by a device driver, sometimes display driver... I update, uninstall, try new ones, try tweakers, uninstall, reinstall, shut off, turn-on, NEW settings in windows...in programs...new bios settings here, new bios settings there, try to find more info from microsoft website error number database....ALL to no avail. Suggestions of regedit to locate and pinpoint bad driver was considered but proper procedure was a little foggy to almost total inexperience and I shouldnt try to edit it alone I believe. The error report reads: thread stuck in device or/ Locked pages in unlocked area or something similiar to that. STOP OXOOOOOO76 - PROCESS HAS LOCKED PAGES Error message in windows 2000 (Q256010)
