random rebooting of XP pro

Hello All,
Please help. New Pentium 4 machine new Windows XP pro
installation using the system for video/sound editing with
DIGIsuit hardware and software.
After booting up and starting the editing process the
machine re-boots randomly and without warning resulting in
lost work.

Hi,
Click on "system"in control panel or right click "my computer" and select
properties.Next click the advance tab.Under startup and recovery click the
settings button.Under the system failure heading uncheck"automatically
restart"
Hit ok then apply.

Windows "crashes" can only be caused by one of 2 things - a hardware issue
or a driver that isn't "playing well with others". I suspect that it is a
driver. Configure Windows to NOT Automatically restart on crash and to grab
a full crash dump. When it happens again, not the stop code and any other
information provided. It will help to identify the offending driver.
