random power downs

My computer randomly restarts. I have no explanation. It
doesn't seem to matter what program I'm running, and Norton
detects no viruses. Any ideas.

You need to look at the Event View to review the error messages that
occurred at memory dump. Right click on My Computer and select Manaage.
Click on Event Viewer and then System. The memory dump error message should
be the last thing posted at the time that the computer crashed. Look at the
Date column to determine where to find it. Once you have the error message
you can begin diagnosing the problem. Without that error message no one can
really help you. You can come back and post the EXACT error message(s)
listed or try to trace it yourself at www.eventid.net
