Does Windows Xp have a limit to the amount of system RAM it can access?

ie 2 gig, 4 gig, etc.

It is usually determined by the amount of RAM your motherboard can access.
Windows XP *CAN* access up to 4 GB, but requires careful manipulation to
make it work. There is very little performance increase in most
applications when RAM exceeds 1GB. Obviously, photo and video software will
use the extra RAM, but for most other apps, 4GB is pure overkill.
