hi guys..

can i mix PC2700 and pc3200 DDR memory
it says my motherboard can take both of it...
so i can mix them or do they have to be same?

It will run the RAM at whatever speed the motherboard is set to
run it at. If that's 2700, it will run at 2700. If it's set to
run at 3200, it will [try to] run at 3200, and likely fail,
because the PC2700 RAM isn't rated to run that fast.

The terms "PC2700" and "PC3200" aren't actually the speeds of the
RAM, just the speeds they have been tested to run at
successfully. So in general, it's safe to add PC3200 RAM to a
computer already running PC2700 (although the PC3200 is capable
of running faster, it can run slower without a problem), but it's
not safe to add PC2700 RAM to a computer running PC3200 (because
the PC2700 will be asked to perform beyond its rated capability).

Over and above the general comments above, Windows XP tends to be
very fussy about having its memory matched perfectly.

DRAM ( the PC 2700) and DDRam are different technologies. While a
motherboard may support either, it is generally as one kind or the
other, and they can't be mixed

Oops - I read DDR as RDR - RD Ram. Ignore my reply
