Ram Problem

I installed more ram into my computer 512 and it already
had 128, when the computer starts up it shows i have a
total of 640, everything is compatible etc, but when u go
into system in control panel windows only shows 127mb of
ram, is there a way 2 fix this? does it matter? i just
dont know if windows is using the ram or not,,, plz email
me or tell me wuts goin on because im confused =/ .

Remove the 128 and try the computer with just the new 512 mb
installed.

If it fails to start then you have a problem. Possible causes
include:
- The 512 mb module is not installed correctly
- The 512 mb module is not compatible with your computer. There are
many different types of RAM available. A common cause of problems is
to use a high density (single sided) PC133 SDRAM module in a
motherboard that only supports the low density (double sided) PC133
modules.
- The 512 mb module is defective.
