radeon 7500 series not compatible

hi i'm trying to upgrade from windows 98se to windows xp
my computer stops responding on loading.the error message
i get is that the display adapter and media sound adapter
are not compatible with xp have been on the ATI website
but havent got a clue what i'm looking for anyone know
which drivers to download to make my radeon 7500
compatible.
 
If you have on-board video,then remove ati,install xp then reinstall ati
for the audio card,simply remove it,reinstall when xp is loaded.XP has problem
with ati untill you install the drivers/software yourself.

If you have a Radeon 7500 as your primary display adaptor, and are upgrading
from Windows 98 to XP, you would be better served to do a clean install of
XP. The XP install CD has a driver for the Radeon 7500 series
