Does it have any adware or spyware like QuickTime does? QuickTime messed up
Internet Explorer, so I'm preparing to restore my operating system as soon
as I've backed stuff up and completed a few small projects.
SeaMaiden, if you're not doing this already, I recommend that you use a
program like Total Uninstall:
http://freeware4u.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=234
to monitor all program installations. Had you done this when you put
Quicktime on your computer, you would have been able to use the
installation report to remove all traces of it when it turned out you
didn't like it.
The same question goes for Real Alternative. Is it like RealPlayer but
without the ads/spies?
I use and very much like both Quicktime Alternative and Real
Alternative. I also like and use the Media Player Classic (even for
playing DVDs!) that comes with both of them.
