Is there a quick way to know which cell I am in, other than counting down (&
across) the number of rows (& columns)...that gets irritating for cells past
row 10.

In other wordprocessors it shows on the Status Bar where you are in the
table (e.g., C3), but I can't find this funtion in Word 2000.

TIA,
klam

This is one of the most requested features in Word (for several versions
now), but it is still not available. You can, however, use the
TableCellHelper macro, which returns the current cell address and the total
number of rows and columns in the table. You can get the macro from

Hi again Suzannne, and thx again!

Worked like a charm! I'll move it to my Toolbar next.

cheers,
klam

Yes, I have it with my other table-related buttons on the toolbar. I used
the yellow question mark button face for it.
