Quick search for email was working fine, then suddenly not at all. Indexing
always
shows "0". The "help" directions haven't helped. Suggestions?
 
Thanks much. Indexing was checked, so there must be some corruption. I
downloaded the toolkit--per http://www.msoutlook.info/question/47--but
everytime I click on the scan pst in the General section, I'm asked for a
file name and nothing I enter is accepted. I've tried Outlook.exe,
scanpst.exe, and on and on. Any more help would greatly be appreciated.
This tool kit program looks fantastic -- I downloaded the page for
instructions, but the screen shots are too poor to read.

you run scanpst on the pst file not the exe

As Rob said; you need to run it on the pst-file that you want to scan. You
can find the location for the pst-file by going in Outlook to File-> Data
File Management

As for the screenshots on the website; click on them and a larger version
will load.
