How do I find out details about wireless connections? (In particular,
the channel.) Thanks in advance.
Forgot to add: preferably, there's a way to do this without connecting to
them (since this information is advertised during scans).
(In short: I'm trying to determine which channels are in use by my
neighboring APs.)

Go to open network connections
Rightclick on properties of the wireless connection
On my adaptor I click the advanced tab
Click configure for your Wif Fi adaptor
under ad hoc Ad Hoc in the drop down menu for my Intel card and the channel
number appears there

if you use wzc click do not use wzc and it'll switch to your wifi
manufacturers config utility, I haven't seen one that doesn't scan for
avail networks and show ssid, channel, mac, encrypt, etc
