Quick Launch is Gone

Hello:

The quick launch has disappeared from my taskbar. I right clicked
properties, clicked the show quick launch check box, clicked apply then ok,
but it did not appear. Also, when I go back to properties, the show quick
launch check box is unchecked again. I've tried rebooting several times and
I still cannot fix this problem. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Try using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when this
began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
 
Have you installed any type of tweak program such as Ashampoo's
PowerUp Xp, Xteq X-Setup, etc? If so perhaps that tweak program is
overiding you manual settings. Some of those programs have a feature
to turn the Quick Launch Bar on or off.
