Quick Launch Icons

Does anyone know if there is a way to eliminate the
default Icons from being created in the Quick Launch bar
in a new user's profile? I have a set of icons that I
want to show in the Quick launch, and I don't want
Desktop, IE, Media Player, etc. showing up. Any thoughts
would be appreciated.

Try right-clicking on whatever is unwanted and click on "Delete" in pop-up
menu.
