Quick Launch bar disappears

My Quick Launch Toolbar disappears every time I start up the computer. I
have clicked on the taskbar and checked the Quick Launch bar and I have even
checked the box in properties. Yet, it still goes back to the same way. Is
there a way I can get it to save my settings on exit?

Create a new account and see if it works from here. If so, copy your
old account to the new one: "How to Copy User Data to a New User
